The biggest spectacle I saw was UTK's diversity protests. NEITHER IS LETTING PEOPLE STARVE IN THE STREETS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T "WORK HARD ENOUGH". OSTRACIZING SOMEONE FOR THEIR HOMOSEXUALITY ISN'T VERY LOVING. SO HOW THE HELL DID SO MANY PEOPLE FUCK UP SUCH A SIMPLE INSTRUCTION?!? Single greatest commandment, according to the bible.
They're so nasty to anyone who doesn't think like them. To this day, hearing the words "disrespectful" said with a southern accent makes my blood boil with rage. I questioned the nonsensical rules, and I remember such viscous hatred. I remember constantly being demonized for questioning. No matter how deranged your parents are, all that matters to them is the fact that their KING JAMES BIBLE told them that you should HONOR THY FATHER AND MOTHER.
Rather than take a self-critical look, they attack you for having the gall to point the obvious. I've never seen such a valiant fight for the right to hurt people. And any time you confront them, they manipulate. They fight so vigorously for the right to threaten others. You walk around, you see confederate flags flying everywhere - not just the rural areas, but the urban as well. Got into a political discussion my neighbor. It's not about small government, it's about crushing black people, controlling women, being able to beat your children without repercussions, and never having to help the downtrodden. They all vote republican- not an evil act in of itself, until you realize why they vote it. I walk by on my way home, and see a church van listing all the things that will supposedly send you to burn for eternity. I walk by, I hear a preacher spewing hatred, telling everyone how they're going to hell. Their MORAL institutions, their churches, are not only ineffective at countering evils, but cause more harm than good.
